28 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, 29 he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.
In my debate with Bart, I mentioned that I had it on good authority that this was definitely a first-century fragment of Mark. A representative for who I understood was the owner of FCM urged me to make the announcement at the debate, which they realized would make this go viral. However, the information I received and was assured to have been vetted was incorrect. It was my fault for being naïve enough to trust that the data I got was unquestionable, as it was presented to me. So, I must first apologize to Bart Ehrman, and to everyone else, for giving misleading information about this discovery. While I am sorry for publicly announcing inaccurate facts, at no time in the public statements (either in the debate or on my blogsite) did I knowingly do this. But I should have been more careful about trusting any sources without my personal verification, a lesson I have since learned.
This really puts his so-called scholarship into question.

-“. In all, we have over 5,000 Greek manuscripts of the NT, though the majority of these are later and of lesser value”
Just an interesting find…..
Smith, W A. A study of the Gospels in Codex Alexandrinus : codicology, palaeography, and scribal hands. Boston: Brill, 2014. Print.
On the back of the first leaf of the codex, an Arabic inscription, followed by a Latin translation, reads:
Memorant hunc Librum scriptum fuisse manu Theclae Martyris.
Translation: they say this book was written by the hand of Thecla the Martyr.
Before this We wrote in the Psalms, after the Message (given to Moses): My servants the righteous, shall inherit the earth."
But the humble shall inherit the land, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
This blog is and has been dedicated to Islam and all things related; Information which I feel should be ARCHIVED for future consideration. Not only for myself, but anyone else with similar interests and mindsets.
However, I have often deviated from this goal by delving into topics related to the Judeo-Christian tradition, and have contributed both time and energy into the pursuit of bringing the “People of the Book” (Ahl al-Kitāb) toward the true worship of One God.
It is now time to put an end to this endeavour. All my research regarding the Old Testament, New Testament, textual-criticism, manuscript traditions, church fathers’ quotations, church history, Hebrew, Greek, church theologies and doctrines,…the Trinity ; will now be put to a halt. Perhaps on the odd chance, I may publish something which catches my eye (and is important to be archived), but on the whole, there will be no personal effort exhausted on my part.
Christianity is dying down in the West, while Islam is growing ever faster. It is more effective and logical to extend all efforts in bringing Atheists to the message of One God.
But…that task will have to fall on the shoulders of others.
As of now, this blog will now focus more on my personal journey in learning Arabic and expanding my knowledge of Islam.
May Allah (swt) accept my past, present and future works, all for His sake. And may He accept this humble blog as a testament to His Glory and Majesty.
Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book had faith, it were best for them: among them are some who have faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors. ( Al-Imran 3:110)
Say: "O people of the Book! exceed not in your religion the bounds (of what is proper), trespassing beyond the truth, nor follow the vain desires of people who went wrong in times gone by,- who misled many, and strayed (themselves) from the even way. (Al-Ma`idah 5:77 )
Say: "O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but God; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than God." If then they turn back, say ye: "Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to God's Will). (Al-Imran 3:64)
فِي الْبَدْءِ خَلَقَ اللهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالارْضَ
Ibn `Abbas said, "Why do you ask the people of the scripture about anything while your Book (Qur'an) which has been revealed to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) is newer and the latest? You read it pure, undistorted and unchanged, and Allah has told you that the people of the scripture (Jews and Christians) changed their scripture and distorted it, and wrote the scripture with their own hands and said, 'It is from Allah,' to sell it for a little gain. Does not the knowledge which has come to you prevent you from asking them about anything? No, by Allah, we have never seen any man from them asking you regarding what has been revealed to you!"
