That is sad… but in a way things like that do happen all over the world… were people cannot get medical help until it is to late.
I wish Israel would expand there “base?” a bit more (be more open) – but they keep quotas on people coming and in out of the country to support a limited society of a “Jewish Theocracy” and protect themselves from extremists. However, they fought two wars to have this right… but on another note…
But this problem isn’t limited to just Israel alone (from what I understand it has been a long time since I did research on this subject), but Palestinians who were also in Jordan were kicked out because of uprisings, and I know the government of Lebanon has in the past actively lead military campaigns against the palaistians from their side. Shelling, and leading troops into refugee camps.
Al Jazeera English is reporting the same thing basically of what you posted only it is against Lebanon and it seems worse.
“There are thousands of Palestinian refugees across the globe, many of whom settled in neighbouring Arab countries including Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. Not to mention those Palestinians classed as refugees within the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
However, of all the Palestinian refugees in the Arab world, it is those who have taken shelter in Lebanon who have suffered the most.”
I believe there is clearly a double standard… the ancient land of Palestinian was huge it encompassed a lot of territories not just modern day Israel..
Why are the Palestinians even in refugee camps around Lebanon and Jordan? Why can’t they be granted citizenship in Muslim countries and be treated as equals?
There is a double standard that the problem is all on Israel… when other surrounding nations aren’t helping them out either.
LEBANON: Palestinian Refugees Face Systematic Discrimination
By Simba Russeau
BEIRUT, Oct 26 (IPS) – Denied access to social services, education, adequate housing and employment, Palestinian refugees in Lebanon continue to suffer discrimination and marginalisation.
All 12 of the official refugee camps in Lebanon suffer from inadequate infrastructure, overcrowding, poverty and high unemployment.
“Lebanon has one of the highest percentage of Palestinian refugees, who are living in abject poverty and who are registered with the Agency’s ’special hardship’ programme,” the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Rights in the Near East (UNRWA) has said.”
What the Lebanese and other arab governments are doing is absolutely wrong. Keeping that in mind, where are these refugees coming from and why are they leaving their homes ? You need to look at the root of the problem
